Dent Removal Made Fast, Affordable, Easy, & 100% Guaranteed

Paintless Dent Repair TechnicianPaintless dent removal (or paintless dent repair) was invented in the 1930s but became popular in the United States in and around the early 1980s.

Paintless dent removal is a relatively new method used for the removal of minor dents and dings, auto hail damage, and parking lot door dings. PDR saves time and money over the traditional auto body repair. The paintless dent removal takes only a few hours compared to days with panel beating, Bondo filling, sanding, and spray painting.

Paintless dent removal is also the environmentally conscious method for removing automobile dents and dings.

Paintless Dent Removal Origins

The history of paintless dent removal can be researched online. There are many proclaimed origins but we do not know for sure.

What we do know is, auto body shop technicians around the nation knew there had to be a better way to removal auto dent damage. The widely practiced method of panel beating and then repainting seemed to be overly time-consuming, expensive and ultimately ineffectual.

How Does Paintless Dent Removal Work?

Highly trained paintless dent removal technicans use a series of high carbon steel rods and interchangeable tips to gently push or massage dents from the underside of the vehicle’s panel.  If the dent is not accessible from behind the panel, the PDR tech will use a “dent pulling” tool that sits on either side of the dent and uses a slight propelling/lifting motion to pull the dent from the surface.

Because paintless dent repair does not require any drilling or sanding, the factory paint finish is preserved therefore keeping it fully intact!
