On Wednesday April 28th, 2021, a massive thunderstorm swept through the northern Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Starting from the Lake Worth area it swept across the metro through northern McKinney. This storm brought severe thunderstorm warnings, winds reaching up to 60mph, golf ball sized hail, and a massive amount of lightning. While this storm is now behind us, North Texas continues to see severe hail events each spring and summer — making it important for DFW vehicle owners to know what steps to take when hail strikes.
