What to do after your vehicle has been damaged by hail
Hail Damage & Steps to Take After the Storm
Step 1: File a claim.
If you suspect that your vehicle has been damaged by hail, call your insurance provider immediately. If you are in an area that has been hit by a major storm, such as Frisco, start the claim process ASAP will ensure you get your vehicle in before the rush.
Depending on the insurance company, they may send an adjuster to your home or they might be OK with you taking your vehicle for an inspection at a local PDR company. If this is the case, IntelliDent can send a hail damage inspector to your home or office and provide you with an estimate.
Step 2: Get an estimate.
Adjuster / PDR Company Estimates
Again, depending on what your insurance company requires, we will either compare the adjusters estimate with ours and look for inconsistencies. If our estimate exceeds the estimate of your adjusters, we will take the steps needed to request a supplement for damages not accounted for.
PDR Company Estimate Submission
If your insurance company has allowed you to get your estimate through your local Frisco auto hail repair (or paintless dent repair) shop, they will require you to submit the estimate to the adjuster.
Your insurance company consult with you and your car repair shop on what will make the most sense for your vehicle repairs. A check will either be cut directly to your PDR shop, or to both you and your lien holder.
